Important Update about the Afghan Markets
The Afghan Markets near Ishkashim, Kalaikhumb and Khorog once popular Saturday cross-border markets between Afghanistan and Tajikistan, are currently closed to foreign tourists. At the moment, it is only open to local Tajik and Afghan traders.
Because of this, our Pamir Highway tours no longer include a tourist visit to the Afghan Market. If access for foreign travelers becomes available again, we will update our Pamir Highway itineraries accordingly.
