Payment and Refund Policy

We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation and refund policy is as follows:

• If you need to cancel your tour, please notify us as soon as possible in writing to this email (oshtours@gmail.com) and at least 3 weeks before the tour start date. We will refund your deposit payment by WeTravel minus any bank/payment fees. Cancellations made after that cutoff time will unfortunately result in losing your deposit since by then we will have committed to reservations, permits, and staffing needs.
• If you want to change your dates and not fully cancel, we do our best to accommodate that without penalty by shifting the booking to later in the season or even next year, subject to availability. But we cannot make any guarantees. (Please note that this policy does not apply to Pamir Guaranteed Departure tours. For any changes or cancellations, you must inform us at least three weeks before the tour start date. After this period, refunds are not possible).
• Once the tour has started, if you have to leave early, we typically cannot issue refunds for unused days as we’ve already made those reservations and commitments.
• In the rare event we had to cancel because of unexpected border closure or something that makes the tour impossible, we would offer you alternative tour options or determine a refund.

  Our cancellation and refund policy is based on the number of calendar days between the date we receive your cancellation request and your scheduled tour departure date.

  •⁠ ⁠20 or more calendar days before departure: You are eligible for a full refund.
  •⁠ ⁠8–19 calendar days before departure (inclusive): You are eligible for a 50% refund of your total tour payment.
  •⁠ ⁠0–7 calendar days before departure (inclusive): No refund is available.
  The departure date itself is counted as Day 0, and all cancellation deadlines are calculated according to Kyrgyzstan local time (UTC+6).

  For example, if your tour starts on July 20, you can receive a full refund if you cancel on or before June 30. If you cancel between July 1 and July 12 (inclusive), you will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations received from July 13 onward are non-refundable.

  These conditions apply because we make reservations and pay our local partners in advance. Many of these costs are non-refundable, even if a participant cancels.

  Please note that we cannot issue refunds for cancellations due to visa refusals, flight cancellations, illness, personal emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances.

  If another traveler books your spot after your cancellation, we can offer you a 90% refund of your total tour payment. The remaining 10% covers expenses already incurred on your behalf.

  What Happens if I Become Ill or Cannot Continue the Tour?
  If you become ill, experience altitude sickness or are unable to continue the tour for any other reason, our team will assist you according to your situation. Depending on your needs, we can help arrange transportation to a hospital, a transfer to Bishkek or another lower-altitude destination, or alternative accommodation.

  Please note that all additional expenses related to medical emergencies, transportation, accommodation or changes to your travel arrangements are your responsibility.

  Unfortunately, we cannot provide refunds for any unused portion of the tour, as accommodation, transportation and other services are booked and paid for in advance.

Travel insurance can cover cancellations in many cases so we encourage everyone traveling to Kyrgyzstan to have comprehensive travel insurance.

If your travel plans must change, please communicate with us as soon as possible and we will work with you to find the best resolution. Our goal is to provide you with some flexibility, but we have to balance that with commitments and payments we’ve made to our partners.
