Your guide will take immediate action to care for you. All our guides carry a first aid kit for common issues (e.g., bandages for blisters, basic medicines for headaches or mild stomach upsets). If you fall ill with something minor (traveler’s diarrhea, a cold, etc.), we can adjust the pace or itinerary to help you recover – for instance, take a rest day or arrange vehicle support.

For more serious injuries or illnesses, the guide will arrange transport to the nearest medical facility. In cities like Osh, Bishkek, or Dushanbe there are hospitals and clinics with modern facilities and care. We have local networks of drivers, hosts and locals whom we can call for assistance, if needed. Your safety is very important to us and we’ll do whatever is needed to get you medical attention promptly

In very remote areas and for extreme situations, evacuation may be necessary – which is why having travel insurance with emergency evacuation coverage is important. Our office can help contact your insurance provider or embassy as required. Fortunately, such emergencies are extremely rare on our tours, but we are fully prepared for them.
