Day 1. Arrival in Bishkek

  • Welcome to Kyrgyzstan. Rest time. Explore Bishkek, a capital of Kyrgyzstan, afternoon. 
  • 6:30 pm: Welcome dinner at your hotel by tour orientation session 

Day 2. Bishkek – Burana Tower – Song Kul Lake

  • After breakfast, we embark on a 6 hours drive to Song Kol Lake, an alpine lake standing at 3000 meters. Along the way, stop at one of Kyrgyzstan’s oldest sights, the Burana Tower, and learn about this ancient architecture, rare in nomadic culture. The territory where the tower is located was once called Balasagyn town. This town had a strategic meaning for the Great Silk Road. Here you will see a small museum with exhibits found during excavations, providing more details about this ancient settlement, and become familiar with the collection of Balbals, Turkic grave marks. After, drive to Song-Kul lake for 4-5 hours. Arrival close to dinner. Soak in the stunning scenery of the area. Driving distance: 300 km
  • Accommodation in yurt camp set along the lakeshore run by local families. Sleeping arrangements are on a multi-share, mixed-gender basis with mattresses on the floor. It can get very chilly in the evenings, so there is a stove for heating and plenty of blankets. There are no bathroom facilities inside the yurts – please expect outdoor toilets.
  • Dinner. Savor a home-cooked traditional dinner.

Day 3. Horse riding around Song Kol Lake

  • After breakfast, we will ride a horse along the beautiful lakeshore. Alternatively, for those who are not interested in horse riding, a simple stroll around the lake can be had. Enjoy the panoramic views on mountain tops and experience the local life of nomads busy with tending their livestock. We return to our yurt camp for lunch.
  • After lunch, we will have the opportunity to sample fresh airan (yogurt) and kumis (the national drink of fermented mare’s milk).
  • Dinner. Overnight at the same yurt camp. 

Day 4. Song Kul Lake – Naryn City – Tash Rabat

  • Breakfast. As we leave our yurt camp behind, our drive goes over Moldo Ashu Pass giving us a last chance to admire the beauty of this lake and vast valleys surrounding it. After the pass, we we will see Naryn rivre, the largest river in Kyrgyzstan, and drive along the shores of it. 
  • Arrival at Naryn and lunch. 
  • After lunch, we head on to Tash-Rabat, a well-preserved 15th-century stone caravanserai located at an altitude of 3,200 meter. Arrival and be accommodated in your camp. 
  • Visit and explore this Silk Road site. Dinner in a yurt camp. 

Day 5. Horseback tour to Panda Pass. 

  • Today we mount on our horses and trek to the Panda Pass overlooking the alpine lake Chatyr-Kol. As we reach the pass, a picturesque view of the lake and vast valleys of Ak-Say open up. Enjoy the views around. Break for lunch on the pass. After lunch, we ride back to our camp. 
  • Dinner at yurt camp. 

Day 6. Tash Rabat – Kazarman village. 

  • We mostly drive on this day. Our trip is beautified by the scenic and colorful mountains along the way. We cross the several mountains passes on the way and stop for stretching our feet walking around the scenic spots. Picnic lunch on the way. 
  • Arrival at Kazarman village standing near the Naryn River. Be accommodated at a local homestay. 

Day 7. Kazarman village – Osh city

  • We drive over the last pass “Kaldama” after we leave the village. As we reach the pass, amazing mountain ranges open up on top of the pass. Enjoy these scenic views. We descend the pass on switchback road. Dense bushes covering the road and mountain slopes delights your senses on the way. Arrival in Osh city and accommodation in a hotel.
  • Lunch en route
  • 15:00 pm – arrival in Osh city. 
  • Hotel check in. Dinner at café. 

Day 8. Osh – Andijan – Margilan – Rishtan – Kokand

  • Border crossing to Uzbekistan. After crossing, meet your team and head on to Andijan city, 50 minutes. The is the most fast growing industrial city of Uzbekistan once was the beloved town of Babur who started his journey to India from this city and founded great Mogul dynasty in India which laid foundation to the Indian civilization. 
  • Visiting the Dehqon Bazar and the Jami Complex, one of the main historical and architectural monuments of Andijan.
  • Transfer to Margilan once was a main city at the crossing of trade caravans from China to the west and was renowned for their silk goods from far west to far east as far back as the 10th century. 
  • Visiting the highlight of Margilan – a  Yodgorlik Silk Factory where we will spot a traditional silk weaving techniques. 
  • Transfer to Rishton famous with it’s oldest centers of ceramics and pottery in Uzbekistan where we experience the art of pottery production
  • Transfer to Kokand city, once was a capital of Kokand Kingdom encompassing the whole Fergana Valley from 1709 to 1876. 
  • Visiting Khudayarkhan Palace, Juma Mosque and Dahmai Shakhon
  • Overnight and dinner at Kokand city.

Day 9. Kokand – Tashkent – To Khiva by train

  • 4-hours drive to Tashkent. Arrival. 
    11:00 – Sightseeing tour in Tashkent: visit Old City part of Tashkent with Khast-Imom Complex where the world famous Quran of Caliph Uthman has been preserved. In Khast-Imom visit Madrasah of Barak-Khan, Tilla Sheikh Mosque, Mausoleum of the Saint Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi and the Islamic Institute of Imam al-Bukhari.
    Break for Lunch (jn your own).
    Visit city center with Amir Temur Square, Independence Square and Applied Arts Museum, and, of course, visit the Chorsu bazaar to admire local life. 
  • Early dinner and departure for Khiva by train.

Day 10. Khiva 

  • Late morning arrival. Transfer to guesthouse in the center of Khiva, 40 minutes drive. 
  • 10:00 – Tea/coffee break upon arrival.
  • Sightseeing tour in Khiva to admire vibrant architectural sites. Visit a UNESCO World Heritage site Ichan-Qala fortress. In Ichan-Qala fortress visit Kunya-Ark, Sayeed Alauddin Mausoleum, Arab-Mukhamadkhan Madrasah, Oq-Masjid Mosque, Madrasah of Hodjan Berdi-biya
  • Lunch(on your own).  After lunch, we continue our tour to visit Shirgazikhan, Abdullakhan, Juma Mosque, Allakulikhan Madrasah, Tosh-Khovli Palace, Pakhlavan Makhmud Mausoleum, Minaret of Islom-Khoja.
  • Dinner.

Day 11. Khiva – Bukhara

  • Breakfast. Drive to Bukhara, 475km, 7-8 hours. On the way, enjoy the sandy and vast plains of the Kizil Kum desert encompassing Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, the 15th largest desert in the world. 
  • Arrival and check in at hotel.
  • Wander around old city.
  • Dinner at local restaurant.  

Day 12. Bukhara

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • 8:00 – Sightseeing tour in Bukhara: Visit Samani dynasty mausoleum, Chashma Ayub complex, Bolo-Khauz Mosque and Arc fortress.
  • 1:00 – Break for lunch. (On your own)
  • Continuation of the visit: Lyabi Hauz Ensemble, Magoki-Attori Mosque, trade domes, Ulugbek and Abdulazizkhan madrasahs, Kalyan Minaret, Kalyan Mosque and Miri-Arab Madrasah.
  • Free time
  • Dinner at local restaurant. 

Day 13. Bukhara – Samarkand. 

  • Breakfast at hotel. Free till train departure. 
  • Departure to the train station and train to Samarkand at 15:50 pm, 2-hour.
  • Welcome the capital of the Timurid Empire founded by Timur, an undefeated commander who is widely regarded as one of the greatest military leaders and tacticians in history. 
  • Dinner

Day 14. Samarkand

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Samarkand sightseeing: Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis, Bibi Khanum Mosque, Siyob bazar and Registan Square.
  • 1:00 – Break for lunch (on your own).
  • Continue sightseeing Samarkand: visit Ulugbek Observatory, Afrosiab museum and Gur-Emir Mausoleum.
  • 7:00 pm – Dinner 

Day 15. Samarkand – Tashkent

  • Breakfast at hotel & check out
  • Transfer to Tashkent, 300km, 4-5 hours.  
  • Break for lunch upon arrival. 
  • Sightseeing program in Tashkent.
  • Farewell dinner to say goodbye to your guide and group. 
  • Departure to airport for 2:50 am flight.
