Founded in 2008, Visit Alay has grown from one of the first tour operators offering trekking tours and travel services to international travelers in the Alay Region of southern Kyrgyzstan into a leading full-service tour operator and travel agency offering immersive cultural and adventure tours across Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. With Visit Alay offices in both Bishkek and Osh, we provide a strong regional network and can support your journey throughout the whole of Kyrgyzstan and across Central Asia.

Our Team
Talant Toksonbaev, Founder
Talant is the founder and visionary behind Visit Alay with almost 20 years of experience working in the tourism sector and advancing adventure travel in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia. Driven by a passion to introduce his region to international travelers, he began by organizing outdoor activities in his home village in the Alay Region of southern Kyrgyzstan. Talant is deeply committed to community-based tourism and believes in creating sustainable income opportunities for local people by connecting them with visitors through authentic travel experiences. He has integrated these principles into a community tourism model that Visit Alay uses in all of its tours.
Aziret Zhusubali, Tour Manager
Originally from the Alay Mountains, Aziret (Azi) is passionate about using tourism to support local communities, especially in remote mountain areas like his home. Beginning as a porter, he quickly advanced to lead mountain guide and guided over 100 groups across Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. With over ten years of hands-on experience and a deep understanding of the region, Azi now leads Visit Alay’s tour planning and coordination. His mission is to create opportunities in rural regions, reduce outward migration, and help preserve Kyrgyz culture through meaningful, community-based travel.
Begaiym Mamatova, Tour Manager
Begaiym has extensive experience in tourism and community development, having managed development projects that support local tourism initiatives and women’s economic empowerment and handicrafts in southern Kyrgyzstan (awarded a 2022 Green Destinations Top 100 Stories Award). At Visit Alay, she brings her deep understanding of sustainable tourism and her passion for empowering communities and providing opportunities for local women through inclusive travel experiences.

- Tourism development partner for the Helvetas Bai Alay project to develop new trails and routes in the Alay Region for income generation in remote mountain communities. This won the 2022 Green Destinations Top 100 Stories award for “Reducing poverty and empowering communities through tourism and handicrafts.”
- Partner on the GIZ Jalal-Abad tourism development project to develop new trekking and horse trek routes and tours that integrate local communities.
