Visitors from over 70 countries can enter Tajikistan without a visa for 30 days. This includes visitors from European, North American, and many Asian countries. You can see the full list here.

Note: Even so you eligible to enter Tajikistan on visa-free status, you are still required to obtain a GBAO permit and do OVIR (Office of Visas and Registration) registration to visit the Pamir region. We can assist you with the GBAO permit and registration. Be sure to print out and carry your GBAO permit with you.

Many other nationalities not on the visa-free list can easily apply online for a Tajik e-visa, which costs around $89 (paid by credit card) and can be obtained in 5-6 days. When applying online, be sure to add the GBAO permit ($20) if you plan to travel in the Pamir Region(Gorno-Badakhshan). Print out your e-visa and GBAO permit to show at border crossings and other places.

If you are on one of our Pamir Highway Tours in Tajikistan be sure to have a valid Tajikistan visa and GBAO permit.

We will provide guidance on visa documents needed for all countries on multi-country tours.
